Would you or your organization like to join the Global Prehospital Consortium?

We are an international consortium of community-based Tier-1 EMS organizations aiming to build out-of-hospital emergency care (OHEC) capacity in resource-limited prehospital settings through advocacy, implementation, and research.

Becoming a GPC Member:

Criteria for GPC Membership:

Section 1: Membership for full members
Organizations that wish to become full members of the GPC must meet ALL of the following criteria:

  1. Ability to demonstrate successful implementation of “Tier-1” emergency medical services in resource-limited settings for at least three consecutive years.

  2. Formal incorporation as a nonprofit, social enterprise, government office, or non-governmental organization for at least three years with stated aims of improving out-of-hospital emergency care.

  3. Agreement to all applicable supplementary “Terms of membership”

Section 2: Membership for affiliate members
Organizations that wish to become affiliate members of the GPC must meet ALL of the following criteria:

  1. Formal incorporation as a nonprofit, social enterprise, government office, or non-governmental organization with stated aims of improving out-of-hospital emergency care in resource-limited settings.

Section 3: Membership for individual advisors
Advisors to the GPC will be selected on a per-project basis and must receive a four fifths vote from the steering committee for approval.

Rights of GPC Membership:

Section 1: Rights of full members
Full member organizations of the GPC are entitled rights to:

  1. Select 1-3 individuals employed by the organization to attend monthly Consortium general meetings.

  2. Request a special assembly of the Consortium at any time via the steering committee.

  3. Cast one (1) vote in all matters dictated by these bylaws to require full assembly vote.

  4. Participate as a voting member in all GPC committees with the exception of the steering

    committee.

  5. Apply to chair all GPC committees with the exception of the steering committee, which

    will have no chair.

  6. Propose the formation of a new committee to the Consortium for full assembly vote.

  7. Utilize the GPC logo and approved marketing materials on the organization’s website,

    social media, research materials, and other public media as approved by the steering committee.

Section 2: Rights of affiliate members
Affiliate member organizations of the GPC are entitled rights to:

  1. Select 1-2 individuals employed by the organization to attend monthly Consortium general meetings.

  2. Select 1-2 individuals to attend Consortium committee meetings.

Section 3: Rights of individual advisors Individual advisors of the GPC are entitled rights to:

  1. Attend general meetings of the Consortium.

  2. Attend committee meetings of any Consortium committee at any time with the exception

    of the steering committee.

  3. Attend meetings of the steering committee with unanimous approval of steering

    committee members.
